We've got it about a month ago. My kids are still playing with zhu zhu pets every day. Amazing! They are having great fun!
We started with funhouse and one hamster, and end up building the whole city.
My little one even sleeps with one of them, so we had to take batteries out of Nugget.
I recommended this toy to all my friends with kids from 3 to 8 y.o. |

This is such a cute toy! Sure, the plastic isn't of the highest quality, but children enjoy the set and the original retail price is very reasonable. The funhouse, which is really the base for the entire Zhu Zhu world, consists of two circular rooms and a "hallway" (or tunnel) which connects them. The tunnel has grooves on it that cause the hamster to make various sounds... doorbell/knocking sounds for the bedroom and splashing/gurgling sounds for the bathroom. The floor is printed with images of blankets, hamster food, a sink, and other such essentials. Our little one loves to pretend that she is giving the hamster a bath or tucking it into bed.
The little hamster that comes with the set, Patches, is very sweet and cuddly. She FLEW across our hardwood floor once we changed the batteries, so keep in mind that the original batteries are really for store use only, and don't be alarmed if your hamster seems a little sluggish; a new set of batteries will perk it right up. You really only need one hamster to enjoy the set, but it's hysterical to put in two or more at the same time - they'll bounce off of each other and chatter together. Best of all, a simple press to the hamster's back turns it off. Try that with a real pet! |

| My daughter got this toy for her 6th birthday. She loves it! Plays with it all of the time. The hamsters are cute and make cute sounds but not too loud. They work great. We do replace the batteries quite often. She now wants accessories and that can be expensive, but overall-a great toy. |

| Bought this for my 5 and 3 year olds. They love the Go Go Pets! The hamsters run around the funhouse and go to all of the attached rooms as shown on the TV commercial. We have all of the attachments (wheel, car, slide, etc) and they work great!! My kids LOVE this toy! |

| We bought this for our daughter and the first time we received it, the seller was sent us a funhouse with Chunk!! This is clearly a listing for Funhouse with Patches inside of it!! Be sure you read the sellers comments because alot of them are trying to sneak a different hamster with it!!! We finally received the Funhouse with patches and hooked it up with all the other accessories and my children just love playing with the Zhu Zhu Pets and their accessories. We haven't had any problems with it at all. When our kids' friends come over this is the one toy they have to play with, and can't get enough of. |

| I purchased this item as an extra surprise after Christmas for my 11 year old granddaughter and she really enjoys the little hamster. She is an advanced student in school so her mentality is on point.............she just loves this little hamster city. I saw them when my niece bought them for her children ages 4-7 and they loved them also. I plan to purchase more pieces as long as the price is reasonable. |

Simple entertaining product for a reasonable price. In this age of $100 plus toys it was nice to see the hot holiday item be this simple and cheap. Smart marketing idea to keep price reasonable in this economy. Accessories are a bit cheaply made but that was not unexpected for the price. Great idea for a family that cannot have or is not ready for a real pet.

| We purchased this for our son a few weeks ago and he loves it! So do all of his friends! The hamster is sturdy and has endless tricks and energy. Much better than the real thing! I think it would interest everyone who is complaining about the private sellers to know that my friend sells on Amazon and she has to pay quite alot for her toys, as she purchases them from a toy supplier and as demand goes up, the prices from the suppliers go way up. Add to that the 20% fee she pays for each item sold, plus time, shipping, etc. and she really doesn't clear all of that much. It's a great convenience for us working moms to be able to purchase online! All of the stores are out of this and she couldn't buy any at the toy stores at the low prices any more than the rest of us could. This is a great toy and lots of fun! |

I bought it for my son. It goes pretty fast in the tunnels but it's not as exciting to watch as a real hamster. Since we have a real hamster too I dont think he was as interested in this. However, it is pretty good quality. Would probably be a better toy for a girl than a boy. He gets bored with things easy.

| I think this is a great little toy. Its like having a pet without the mess! Luckily I bought up as much as I could in stores like Walmart and Target. I did not get lucky at TRU. Now they all put a limit on how much we can buy. I will divey these out to my nieces, nephews and my own small children. Whatever I have left over, I will sell to a friend for exactly the price I bought it for just to help them out. This is not really about a toy. This is about a global economic crisis. The whole world industry is corrupt but the consumer still has a choice. Keep looking, keep shopping. Stay away from Amazon and ebay and buy it all up in the stores and help others out. Its a small way to fight back, but if so many people want these things like the industry says they do, it should be enough to make a dent. Otherwise, if you don't get lucky or just cannot join the consumer battle, thats okay too. Your child will understand if they don't get one. I've disappointed my children many times but deep down they know no one loves them more than their Dad and I. If they are too young to read, even better. After their tantrum, they'll be on to the next thing. Good luck everyone! |
